Compass · one child · one page · $27

Your child has done the same thing for six months and you still don’t know why.

It happens most days. You have a theory, someone else in the house has another, and every few weeks you try something different and watch to see whether it helped. Six months of that wears you out more than the behaviour does.

  • One page about your child, written for you
  • Built from the date, time and place of their birth
  • Something to think with on the next bad evening

The chart

A birth chart is the same sky, read differently. The same night, one layer deeper.

Everyone born that week got the same sky. Your child got it from one place, at one minute, and we read it from there.

What Compass will not do

We will not label your child.

  1. Nothing here is clinical

    Never an assessment

We are not doctors, and a page from us carries no diagnosis and no developmental assessment. If something about your child worries you, talk to someone who has met them.

  2. No word to carry

We hand you no type, no score and no percentile. A label ends the conversation about a child, and we would rather you kept asking.

  3. We leave the road ahead alone

We write about the ground your child is standing on now. You will not read which year will be hard, which subject they will shine at, or who they turn into.

  4. No plan to follow

There is no routine to start on Monday and no list of things to change by Tuesday. You already know your child better than we do. We give you something to think with, and what you do on Thursday is yours.

A page written about a child can go wrong in those four ways, and we built this one to fail none of them.

What it is for

The thing that keeps happening.

Most writing from a birth chart describes the person in summary: strengths, weaknesses, a future. We write about the week you are in.

It starts where you already are. The hour that goes wrong. The refusal that arrives every single time. The change you did not expect them to take this hard. You want a way to decide what to do on Thursday, not a description of a character.

So we read your child the way a good teacher would after a term of watching them: what brings them back when the day has gone past them, how they take things in, where their energy goes and what it costs them when it has nowhere to go. You can act on all of it this week.

A whole one, free

Read one before you buy one.

Below are two complete Compass pages, start to finish, for children who do not exist. There are two, one for a boy and one for a girl, so you can read the page for whichever you have at home. Nothing is held back and nothing is blurred.

Read one. If it does not sound like a real child to you, do not buy it.

The wheel

Tap a planet.

We draw their chart as a wheel, the rising sign on the left where the horizon was when they were born. Tap a planet and the lines to the planets it connects with stay lit, with the centre naming where it stood.

Inside Compass

What is on it, in the order you scroll.

  1. The wheel of their chart

Every placement marked, so the rest of the page has somewhere to point.

  2. What settles them

Read from the Moon, so the next bad evening has a name and a way back.

  3. How they take things in

So you know when to explain, when to show them, and when to leave it alone.

  4. Where their energy goes

Out in the world or kept at home, so a quiet day stops reading as a bad one.

  5. What they are like under pressure

So the version of your child you meet at the end of a long day is recognisable.

  6. One question to sit with

So the page ends in your hands.

Questions

Before you decide.

I am not sure I believe in astrology.

Read a sample first and decide whether it describes a real child. The only test that counts happens at your kitchen table. If it reads like a horoscope, you have lost nothing.

They are three. Is it too early?

It is not too early. How your child meets the day is already true at three and still true at eleven.

I do not have their exact birth time.

Compass needs it. The birth certificate usually has it, and the hospital will have it on file. Without the time we would be guessing, and guessing is what you came here to stop. If it cannot be found, North Star is the reading that works without it.

What if it does not sound like them?

Say so, and it is looked at. A page that does not sound like your child is no use to anyone, and a person reads every reply.

Will it say something I do not want to read?

It may name something you already suspected. You will not read that your child is difficult, or behind, or a type.

A digital product, to get us off screens?

The page is how it reaches you. What it is for happens away from the screen, in the hour that keeps going wrong.

What happens to their details?

Your child’s name, date of birth and place of birth are stored on our own server and never leave it. You can delete a child from the portal at any time, and everything goes with them.
